Industry Mentorship Program
Purpose:
● To bridge the disconnect between industry and the classroom by allowing students to get to know an industry leader on a one-on-one basis.
● To help improve basic student needs when pursuing an internship/full time position. Examples include phone interviewing tips and/or practice, resume critiquing, networking, among other general industry standards.
● Enhance the value of being in an Honors Society or the Honors Program by providing candidates the opportunity to expand their network.
Active members from a honors society or students from the Honors Program are eligible to apply to this selective industry mentorship program. An industry leader will be paired up with a student and meet on a regular basis throughout the semester and serve as a role model for the student. Check the Honors Council Page for up-to-date information and to check for an application for the program. It is planned to begin in February 2012.
